Gerehu Location Profile

Located in the far northeast of Port Moresby, Gerehu is a large residential suburb on the city's outskirts, traditionally catering to lower-middle-class workers and families. It is one of the city's larger suburbs, subdivided into stages ranging from 1 to 7.  Gerehu provides essential amenities, including small supermarkets, schools, and fresh food markets.

With improved access through roads like the Sivari-Baruni Road, the area has seen  development, with businesses purchasing land for warehousing following the relocation of the main Port Moresby wharf to Motukea.
