Hausples is excited to share the results of its 8th annual PNG Residential Real Estate Survey. This report offers useful information about the Papua New Guinean housing market, looking at rental and sales trends, how people manage their money, where they get information, and what changes they want. With 8.8% more people answering, about 3,000 in total, this year's data is even stronger.
Even though more people took part, the results are similar to past surveys, which makes us confident in our findings. This is the second year we've focused only on homes, after splitting the survey last year.
Hausples will also do a separate survey in 2023 just about commercial property. While we don't talk only about how the pandemic affected the market, past data shows how it's recovering, and things are looking good.
We thank everyone who answered and helped with the survey. We hope this report is helpful and useful for PNG's housing industry.
